SAMPLES (South America Mission Prayer Letter Service) is a professional prayer letter service. Your letter will go to the home office for proofing, editing, content review, printing and mailing.

After your letter is received at the home office, you will be notified by email within 3 business days that it has been received. If you do not receive this confirmation please contact SAMPLES to see if there is a problem. You should expect your prayer letter to be mailed within 10 business days of receiving at the home office. When your letter is ready for mailing, SAMPLES will send you a PDF of the approved copy and will notify you if there were any major changes.

If your mailing list is 200+ (or close to it) it will be mailed 3rd class, so you can experience a significant decrease in postage cost. This usually does not add any extra time to reach your supporters. Any mailing list under 200 will be mailed first class at the current postal rate.

  • Your letter must be sent as a working copy compatible with Microsoft. No pdfs or Mac only files.

Some helpful tips:

  • Try not to use more than two different fonts
  • Use clear photos to illustrate your stories, and use captions when appropriate
  • Keep paragraphs short

We all know that prayer cards are a good way to raise prayer and financial support, keeping you at the forefront of supporters’ minds. Below you will find standards for prayer card production. We recommend that you send new prayer cards every 3 years, or at the beginning of HMA. In order to maintain accuracy, quality and consistency we request that you to email all prayer card proofs to Sue Post for approval before printing. If you bypass office approval and print a prayer card independently, we cannot guarantee that you will be reimbursed from your service account.

You may choose a vendor, but we recommend Creative Plus for their quality, service and familiarity with SAM and our logo.
